Pony Studios will be closed this Friday. Our websites, booking system, Shopify page, and e-learning app across the Pony Studios Co., Pony Education, and Pony Education LIVE lines of business will be shut down. This decision was made collectively as a team.
We want to be clear about why. We are living under an administration whose actions and rhetoric repeatedly legitimize cruelty, erode basic rights, and treat harm as policy. We find that morally indefensible. Continuing business as usual in moments like this feels like quiet consent—and that’s not something we’re willing to offer.
As many of you know, Pony has a long history of acting on our values. Over more than a decade, across our salon and education work, we’ve intentionally raised and contributed a significant sum to organizations including the ACLU, Everytown for Gun Safety, Planned Parenthood, and Covenant House California. This decision is consistent with that history—easy to make, but not taken lightly.
We know this impacts your schedule and appreciate your understanding. Your stylist will be reaching out directly to rebook, and many may offer extended hours or flexible scheduling in the coming days to make the process as smooth as possible.
